Remote will open but not close garage door. Brian replaced safety sensors. Garage door opener still will not close garage door. This is the Petrine for the same complaint. Maybe the third time is the charm. No complaints with service or technician. Just want my remote to work the door properly.

Not sure why I received this, since after paying for half of the estimate on July 27th, 2022, we are still waiting and no updates.

This company is full of Hot Air, all Hat no Cattle! I have Nine Garage Doors (one is not working which prompted my call to Precision). They set a scheduled appointment for July 6th. The Technician (JD) was very nice, reviewed everything, needed to order a door spring to fix the immediate issue and promised a call back the next day July 7th. It is July 16th and there has NOT been any follow up or contact from Precision Door. I would not use this company unless your looking for all style no substance, they’re flashy with all there computer tech, and big promises, but they don’t deliver. Still waiting, garage door still broken, maybe they meant next year not next day, just saying.

We did not get a garage door. Received 2 confirmation emails of arriving between 0900-1100 and when no one showed up, I called to ask where they might be and office personnel said appt is scheduled between 1200-2:00 and that they do not have anything to do with email appt confirmations. Tech took a while along with a new person from the company and told me I should buy a insulated door, then looked over at my window and said “we’ll since you’re window isn’t I guess not” then came back into my home with a quote of over $4,000 and they have one door with windows, do I want it. We talked that I received another quote for $2,000 and then he proceeded to tell me (I guess because I am a woman) the door will be inspected by the county, Hurricane rating and I need to make a decision now. I stated I will discuss it with my husband and the agent said well you need to decide by tonight. I asked him, “you want me to pay for a door that I do not even know what it looks like and the windows?” and he said yes I said no, I”ll let you know. The safety report he created was not even correct- insulted our intelligence. The agent also needs to look to see who is around when he says on the way to the vehicle. “This is bullshit” my grown children were out front and heard it and came told me needless to say we went to the company with the less quote and better service. If anyone asks us, we will be able to let them know who to call. Signed, Mrs. Kimberly O’Neal

To start with I informed you that I have a Nice Apollo gate closer so a knowledgeable technician could be sent for the service call. That didn't happen!!! After a little time and some tests with a multimeter, I was informed that my operating motor was bad and due to a parts backlog (6 to 8 months) I should consider replacing the system. I then received a quote for$2500.00 to replace the system. I then removed the motor and, with the help of a 12 volt battery, determined that the motor was in fact operable and ,with no gate repair experience, I was able to get the system working by switching the board inputs from motor 1 to motor 2. You need to get Corey Hane out of the field and on your sales team or does he already receive hourly and sales commission? Sorry , I can't endorse you folks!!!

I called to have my garage door looked at a couple of weeks ago. Instead of trying to fix the problem all the technician tried to do was sell me product after product. He didn’t attempt to open up the panel or take a look around to see what the problem was. As soon as I told him I wasn’t interested in spending thousands of dollars he tried to get out of there as fast as possible. Yet, I still had to pay the $50 fee for him being there no more than 5 minutes. I then called All American and they knew what the problem was immediately and didn’t try to sell me a whole new garage. What a waste of time and money Precision was.

Your repairman gave me 3 options, ranging from $2,200 - $4,300, to repair door after wife hit it with her car. I asked if it could be repaired, to which he replied "No." 1 ½ hours and 6 screws after he left, I had it back together, working as good as ever. This was indeed a "Garage Door Repair" from your list of services -- by me!

Very Disappointed in this establishment. Would not recommend to future customers. We paid for a brand new system June 2020 and have had 3 technicians come to “repair” our “NEW” system in the past 7 months. We paid close to $1300 for a terrible job. Hunter “fixed” it yesterday stating that the problems “might be the wires” and by the time I got home from work last night (not even 10 hours later) the garage door would not shut. I had to pull the emergency handle to close it and called this morning to get someone else to fix the problem, yet again. I was directed to a sales lady who then asked me “what was wrong with the garage door this time around.” as if I knew how to diagnose the problem with the garage. Something that I obviously have no expertise in. So rather than reading notes from the previous tech, it seemed more of a bother to her that I didn’t know what was wrong with my parents garage. We finally got another technician, Jordan, who we had the very first time and he was able to fix the problem. If you do decide with going with Precision ask for Jordan because he seemed more knowledgeable than the other people I had spoken to previously.

JD came out as scheduled and gave us quotes to fix our garage door OVER $800?? What a rip-off on so many levels. We called OVERHEAD DOORS they came out within the hour and are fixing our door for less than half
- Nikki Whitfield
Hi Nikki, We greatly appreciate the feed back on the estimates to repair your door. We are very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the prices quoted by our technician. Unfortunately, our technician didn't feel that a repair would last being that your current opener is a discontinued product. We are refunding your service fee in hopes that when your temp fix fails you reconsider full replacement with a quality product. Have a great evening!!

I live in Panama City. I was told there would be a $49.95 service fee. I told the young lady I would call back. I called back and after a few seconds of conversation she waived the service call fee. The young man came out and told me the Panama City area service is $65.00. I explained to him I was told 49.95 and that fee was waived. He said he could not waive the fee but he would charge me 49.95 plus parts. If my parts had came to over $100.00 he would waive the service fee. I called the office and they read the notes back to us. Like I said before the service was waived. He told her the call center can't waive the fees because they don't work the field. I told them both don't penalize me for the miscommunication. It was proven that what I was told, was right. Instead of moving forward and winning over my business, they decided to continue to debate and involve a manager. I decided that I would find someone else to buy my parts from. 20 minutes of wasted time and it was hot.

18’ door improperly installed on detached workshop May 26.. When I finally installed my opener some ten days later, the torsion spring was so overtightened it blew out my powerful 1hp Sommer direct drive when i tried to close door. The large t-strut on the top panel was in wrong place . It was below top roller bracket instead of being above it. This made it impossible to use the reinforcement bracket the installers left me. After making my own bracket, the opener, which is rated for 1200 pounds, buckled trying to close the 440 pound door. Two weeks after the mis-installation, a technian was sent to correct the problems. To further earn this poor review, I was charged a $65 service fee. My phone appeal of that fell on deaf ears.

Called to replace broken spring, which was done, Technician continued to check components, strongly suggesting replacing motor, nearly $500.00, since it was loose. He said tightening was not possible. He was questioned repeatedly about this. We deferred additional repair at this time. Costal Garage Doors were called, repair and service call was accomplished for $55.00 Simply replacing a grommet & tightening, What a RIP-OFF, would NEVER use Precision again.

Hello Mr. David, I really hope we came to a solution on this issue. We appreciate your business and ensuring us you would use us again in the future if needed.

This company is a major rip off. He didn’t have the skills to diagnose the fault and wanted to charge me for every part that he wanted to swap out to see if it would fix it. I could have been charged thousands of dollars and still NOT have a working garage opener. I am a technician and I know there’s a systemic process to troubleshoot faults. This method is ridiculous and a rip off. I would have given zero stars if the option was available!
