18’ door improperly installed on detached workshop May 26.. When I finally installed my opener some ten days later, the torsion spring was so overtightened it blew out my powerful 1hp Sommer direct drive when i tried to close door. The large t-strut on the top panel was in wrong place . It was below top roller bracket instead of being above it. This made it impossible to use the reinforcement bracket the installers left me. After making my own bracket, the opener, which is rated for 1200 pounds,buckled trying to close the 440 pound door. Two weeks after the mis-installation, a technian was sent to correct the problems. To further earn this poor review, I was charged a $65 service fee. My phone appeal of that fell on deaf ears.

I noticed my spring was broke and one side of the door wouldn't go up no matter how hard I tried to lift even with help from others. I initially intended to try it myself after watching some videos on replacing the spring. However, I felt it was unsafe and contacted several repair companies from Angie's List Living in Panama City after the storm meant a lot of local companies had long wait lists, but I was surprised when Precision not only didn't have a wait list, they could send out a tech within 2 days. Austin was awesome. He not only recognized the broken spring but also that the pulley on one side had failed since the bearing was frozen. He wrote up a fair estimate and was able to repair my door in about an hour. I was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Even though the cost was more than what I anticipated, it was offset by the fact that the pulley bearing was broken as well as the need for new rollers which were about to fail. All in all a good experience leaving me with peace of mind.

I needed a quote on replacing a garage door. Precision was very accommodating on setting a time to arrive at my home and called ahead to tell me the time they would arrive. You were at a neighbors house providing an estimate. I walk down and asked the technician if he would come over and quote me. He told I had to call and schedule an appointment. Great I thought, this will take a couple of weeks. Called and was given an appointment window on Monday ( I had done all this on Friday morning late). Now I was becoming a little less skeptical. Monday arrives, they call and ask if they could come early, their job had finished. Sure come on over, in less than 15 minutes they arrived. Provided an inspection on the garage door and gave me a quote. Not knowing garage-speak, they explained everything I need to know; what I have and what will be the replacement and how things were going to work for the replacement process. Even received a Military Discount. Thanks Wade and Alex for your time and explanations.

My experience with Precision door was excellent from the first phone call to the completion of the repair! After Hurricane Michael it can be difficult to get service or repairs done. The very helpful person that answered the phone and took my service request was professional and thorough. I received an email confirming my appointment which was reassuring. Receiving a text telling me the technician was on his way with his picture included gave me peace of mind! Once the technician arrived he was very personable, professional and thorough in his assessment of the necessary repairs. He did not press me to add items but gave me all the options and explanation needed to make the right decision regarding the repairs needed. I am so impressed with Precision Door Service. The technician wasn't even out of our driveway before I was singing his praises to my husband and to a friend! The technician was courteous and respectful, friendly, efficient. In about 90 minutes, we had a new garage door opener and it's so much quieter than our old one! I have no complaints! On top of that, I had been trying to contact various garage door repair companies for the past 2 weeks or so and could never get a callback. It is with great relief and pleasure to write this review. Do Not Hesitate using Precision Doors. I received a call from my 83 year old Vietnam Veteran who was taken advantage of by one of those fly by night debris companies will cleaning his home in Panama City. When I arrived Thanksgiving Day I started making calls to help him not be so overwhelmed. I started with his garage door that was ruined in the hurricane. Not only did they answer they set an appointment for the next morning. Justin the tech arrived and was a God send, extremely professional, quick and totally reasonable in the job. I can not tell you how many times he referred to The Retired Veteran And Thanked him for his service. The company not only brought back faith in people but also faith in Trust.
